“Shri Surya Narayan is the symbol of divine light” as described in the divine songs of Jyotipur Viranshuman.
“Asato ma sadgamaya, Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya..”
Is the divine shanti mantra from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad where the seeker admits his sense of limitedness and prays for assistance in transcendence of divine light. It is for spreading this awareness that the Sadguru Shri Padmanabhacharya Swami ordained the construction of the Holy Surya Narayan Temple.
